CSV to Markdown & HTML Table Converter
🔒 Runs in your browser
How it parses CSV and TSV
Paste comma-separated values, or a block copied straight from Excel or Google Sheets (which
pastes as tab-separated text) — the delimiter is auto-detected, or you can force comma, tab
or semicolon (common in EU-locale exports). The parser follows the RFC 4180 quoting rules: a
field wrapped in "double quotes" may contain the delimiter itself, a line break,
or an escaped quote written as two quotes in a row (""), and none of it is
treated as a column or row boundary.
Markdown or HTML, ready to paste
Switch the output format to get a GitHub-flavoured Markdown table (with a left, center or
right alignment row) or a plain semantic <table> with
<thead>/<tbody>. Toggle whether the first row is a
header, then copy the result straight into a README, a wiki page or an HTML document.
Everything runs in your browser — the data never leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Does this handle CSV values that contain commas or quotes?
Yes — a field wrapped in double quotes may contain the delimiter, a line break, or an escaped double quote (written as two quotes in a row), following the RFC 4180 convention Excel and Google Sheets both use.
Can I paste directly from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes — copying a range from either app puts tab-separated values on the clipboard, and the delimiter is auto-detected, so you can paste it straight in without reformatting.
Does my data leave my device?
No — parsing and formatting happen entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
