Who we are

Tools run in your browser

Almost everything you type or drop into a tool (text, files, values) is processed entirely on your device — never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and we cannot see it. The network is used in four places, only at your explicit request; all four are described below.

Some tools also save data locally on your own device — via your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB — such as autosaved audio projects, your favorite tools, and preferences like your language. This data stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can erase all of it anytime with the "Clear local data" button in the footer.

Company lookup in the CUI/CIF validator

When you press "Look up company at ANAF", the tool sends only the CUI you entered, through our server, to the public ANAF VAT registry, and shows you the result. We do not store the CUI or the response — our server keeps only short-lived, per-IP request counters to prevent abuse, not your queries.

The Encrypted Shared Notepad

This tool stores your notes on our server so teammates can retrieve them — but end-to-end encrypted. Your note is encrypted in your browser with a key that stays in the share link and is never sent to us, so we store only ciphertext we cannot read. A pad is automatically deleted one hour after its last edit. We keep no accounts and no record of pad contents beyond the encrypted blob and short-lived, per-IP counters used to block abuse. Anyone with the full link can read and edit the pad, so share it only with people you trust.

The Audio Mixer's Server Transfer

The Audio Mixer processes your audio locally and autosaves your project on your own device, as described above. It also offers an optional Server Transfer to move a file to or from another machine. If you use it, the file is encrypted with a one-time key that is generated locally and stays in your browser and on your machine — it is never sent to us. Our relay receives and stores only the resulting ciphertext, which we cannot read, and deletes it automatically about 2 minutes after upload, or immediately once it has been fetched. We keep no accounts and no record of transferred content beyond short-lived, per-IP counters used to block abuse.

The Audio Mixer's URL import

The Audio Mixer also lets you import audio from a public URL. The tool first tries to fetch it directly in your browser; if that's blocked, our server fetches it on your behalf and streams it to you without storing it. We keep no accounts and no record of the URL or its content beyond short-lived, per-IP counters used to block abuse. This path works for audio files only.

Traffic statistics (cookieless)

We use Umami, an analytics solution hosted on our own infrastructure, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We collect aggregate statistics (pages visited, device type, country, which tool was used) with no persistent identifiers; the data is not combined with other sources, is not shared with third parties, and is kept for a limited time. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Advertising

The site currently shows no advertising and uses no cookies. If we ever introduce advertising, we will update this policy and ask for your consent through a compliant mechanism before any ad module loads.

Your rights

You benefit from the rights provided under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability). Since we do not collect identifying data, exercising them mainly concerns correspondence with us. You can write to us at contact@andcode.ro, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).
