What the case converter does
Paste any text once and get it back in ten formats at the same time: lowercase, UPPERCASE, Title Case, Sentence case, plus the six identifier styles programmers use every day — camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case. Copy the one you need with a single click.
How words are detected
The identifier styles rebuild your text from its words, so an existing identifier converts
cleanly. A new word begins at each lowercase-to-uppercase boundary
(getUserName becomes get, User, Name) and at spaces, underscores, hyphens, dots
and punctuation. Runs of capitals are treated as acronyms, so getHTTPResponse
splits into get, HTTP, Response and never loses a letter. Digits stay attached to the letters
beside them, and accented or non-Latin letters are kept rather than stripped.
lowercase, Title Case and Sentence case
Unlike the identifier styles, these four keep your original spacing and punctuation. Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word; Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence — the start of the text and anything after a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark. Everything runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Which cases can it produce?
Ten at once: lowercase, UPPERCASE, Title Case and Sentence case, plus the programmer styles camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case. Each has its own Copy button.
Does it understand an existing camelCase or PascalCase name?
Yes. The programmer styles first split your text into words at each lowercase-to-uppercase boundary and at spaces, underscores, hyphens, dots and punctuation, so getUserName or my-variable_name convert cleanly to any other style.
How are acronyms and digits handled?
A run of capitals is kept together as an acronym, so getHTTPResponse becomes get, HTTP, Response without losing a letter. Digits stay attached to the letters beside them, and accented or non-Latin letters are preserved rather than stripped.
What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?
Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word; Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence — the start of the text and anything after a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Every conversion runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type is transmitted or stored.
