Lorem Ipsum & Fake Data Generator
🔒 Runs in your browser
Fake data
Placeholder names and emails for mockups. Nothing real — the example.com domain is reserved.
What lorem ipsum is for
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin placeholder text — a classic layout has used it since the 1500s. Because the words carry no meaning, they let you judge a design's typography, rhythm and spacing without being distracted by real copy. Pick paragraphs, sentences, words or list items, set how many you need, and copy the result straight into your mockup, wireframe or CMS.
Options that matter
Leave Start with “Lorem ipsum…” ticked to open with the canonical phrase everyone
recognises, or untick it for text that starts fresh. For paragraph output, Wrap in
<p> tags emits ready-to-paste HTML; for words and list items you get plain lines you
can drop into a bullet list or a design tool. Everything is generated locally in your browser
with Math.random, so each click gives you a different draft.
Fake names and emails
The fake-data section builds placeholder names and email addresses for user cards,
tables and account screens — with an English or Romanian name set. Emails always use the
reserved example.com family of domains and fold diacritics to plain ASCII, so they
look real but can never reach a live inbox. None of it corresponds to a real person.
Frequently asked questions
What is lorem ipsum?
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin placeholder text used since the 1500s. It fills a layout with meaningless words so you can judge typography and spacing without real copy distracting you.
Is the generated text safe to use?
Yes. It is meaningless placeholder text only — never publish it as real content. The fake names and emails use reserved example.com domains and match no real person or inbox.
Can I get the text as HTML?
Yes. For paragraph output, tick the wrap option to get ready-to-paste HTML paragraphs; words and list items come as plain lines you can drop into any list or design tool.
Does it always start with Lorem ipsum?
Only if you want it to. Keep the toggle on to open with the canonical phrase, or turn it off for placeholder text that starts fresh each time.
