Compare Two Lists
🔒 Runs in your browser
How it works
Paste two lists, one item per line, into List A and List B. The tool splits each list by line, ignores blank lines, and sorts every item into one of three buckets: items found in both lists, items found only in List A, and items found only in List B — each shown in its own column with a running count, ready to copy.
Turn on case-insensitive to treat Apple and apple as the
same item (the first-seen spelling is kept in the results), and trim whitespace to
ignore accidental leading or trailing spaces when comparing. Repeated items within the same list are
automatically deduplicated. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Does the comparison consider item order?
No — each list is treated as a set. Items are matched purely by their text (or lowercase text, if case-insensitive is on), regardless of the line order in List A or List B.
What happens to duplicate items in the same list?
Repeated items within one list are merged into a single entry before comparing, so the counts reflect unique items, not the number of lines.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No — the comparison runs entirely in your browser as you type; nothing is sent to a server.
